Did you notice my beautiful colors? Just enough color to say that I have beautiful snow white fur, some red freckles and ....I'm a bit of a red head! That always makes me seem more exciting! I am Brando, a Terrier Pointer mix, born in xxxx. I haven't really had a very nice life.....I had unkind owners that I guess got tired of me.....they 'dumped' me on a busy highway out in the country. I wandered for a long time, hungry, thirsty, scared ... hoping and praying somebody would help me.The kind Humane Society volunteers found me.... I was very emaciated and dehydrated. Plus, I was exhausted and so frightened. But you should see me now! I have gained weight and my fur coat is just beautiful! They say I am very very sweet but somewhat shy. You see, my old owners were not very loving toward me, so I am not quite sure if people will hurt me. Everyone here is helping me to learn to trust people. Every week I spend visiting time with the people in our shelter office, I have special time with a couple of wonderful volunteers who come just to love on us dogs. They pet me, hug me, brush my fur, rub my belly - their hands are so gentle, it's really wonderful! I am learning to trust people....my new family will know that trust is earned and will give me lots of love and positive reinforcement. I walk very nicely on a leash with the volunteers...it is fun to have two legged friends! I like other dogs...but not the bossy, alpha ones. Are you my new family....I have been searching and waiting for you....me, sweet Brando!
