Can you help me.....can you help me find my forever home and forever people who will make a commitment to love and care for me.... FOREVER? I am Jackson and I was born in xxxx. They think I am mostly Shepard but maybe I have a little bit of Chow in me (I have some black on my tongue!). I have been told that I'm a very HANDSOME boy - I have beautiful luxurious black fur with white on my neck and a white tuxedo front. Very SPIFFY-LOOKING! You can see in my picture that I am very attentive; I smiled at the camera to let you know that I have a LOTS OF PERSONALITY! I have very good manners, LOVE to play with other dogs and all people, am good with cats and am HOUSE AND CRATE-TRAINED and walk very nicely on a leash. Plus, they say I am VERY SWEET and LOVING. But....even though I am smiling on the outside, on the inside , I feel so lost......again. I am safe, very well taken care of, and am loved by the nice people at the Humane Society ....but I lost my home and my Dad,a man I thought I could trust with my life and who was going to be my forever friend. Let me begin back when I was just a sweet little puppy boy. I was abandoned - that's the polite word - by some people who didn't want to bother with me - they just DUMPED me like I didn't matter at all. There weren't any houses or people around - I was on a rural mountain and very few cars came by.....I was so scared, cold, hungry and thirsty. I figured that if no one saw me - I would die. So, when I saw any cars - I would come out, hoping they would pick me up. Sadly, one of those cars hit me and my little body was dragged under the car. I was hurt very badly..I don't remember who found me but when I woke up, the nice Humane Society people were so gently caring for me. The Vet said that without a very expensive operation, they would have to amputate my leg. But the nice Humane Society people thought I was a very special little boy, and they raised the money to pay for my operation. They saved my leg and they let me know that I was loved and special to them....no one ever made me feel that way before. It took awhile, but with my operation, special care, and lots of love and attention....I was healed and healthy!!!! They told me that there were lots of nice people in the world, just like them, and that they were going to find someone who would love and care for me forever - a family for Jackson!!!! I was so excited!!! That special person came looking for a 'forever friend' - and he found me!!! Jackson!! We were so happy together - me, my Dad and one other dog who I loved. We had a great life... running, playing, sleeping together, riding in his car, we were best buddies!!! One day he brought a lady to the house.....I welcomed her as I do everyone.. My Dad really liked her but I could tell she didn't like me.. After a while, as he liked her more - she liked me even less. But I was such a good boy, I don't understand why she couldn't like me. Anyway, my Dad decided that he wanted to marry her. I was happy for him and thought that, once we were a family, she would love me. But no - she told my Dad that he had to 'get rid of' me because she didn't like me. I couldn't believe my ears....and what I couldn't believe was that, after three loving wonderful years together, my Dad was willing to give me up. What happened to US?? What happened to the loving companionship we had??? What happened to the quiet times we had together, just snuggling??? He was willing to just forget about our time together for this lady. She got her way and he took me back to the Humane Society... after three years of love and dedication. So here I am ...AGAIN....hoping that there is someone, somewhere in the world who will love me and keep the commitment to love and care for me for the rest of my life. A commitment is a promise..... the nice Humane Society people tell me that most people are very loving to their fur friends and that they become a part of their family. I know that I kept MY commitment to my Dad as I was a faithful and loving companion to him. I was always ready to welcome him with a wagging tail,
